In the presence of many representatives of the entrepreneurship and industry community, regional governmental authorities, chambers and professional associations, as well as academic community, a workshop delivered in the framework of the project ENIRISST (Intelligent Research Infrastructure for Shipping, Supply Chain, Transport and Logistics) took place on Thursday, December 15th, 2022, at the Rodopi Chamber of Tradesmen and Handicrafts in Komotini, where Democritus University of Thrace (Emerge partner) is based.
During the workshop the research results of the EN.I.R.I.S.S.T. project, through the Department of Economics of Democritus University of Thrace and Principal Investigator of the Project Prof. Dimitrios Dimitriou, Head of the Department, were presented, promoting a new platform of Interoperability of Infrastructures and innovation in Supply Chain focused on services for the Region of Thrace.
During the workshop, Neapolis University Pafos Rector Prof. Pantelis Sklias, Democritus University of Thrace Vice Rector Prof. Drimpetas Evaggelos, and the Head of the Department of Economics, Prof. Dimitrios Dimitriou presented the vision, the values and the benefits of EMERGE in Region of Thrace and Greece. Through the discussion with the business ecosystem of Thrace, it is promoted the key role of engagement, empowerment, creativity and sustainability of the Emerge Project to Local stakeholders, Regional authorities, Chambers, representatives from Enterprises and Organizations and students community.
All stakeholders including Chambers and Government Administrations promote support to Emerge Team efforts and highlight their interest to support towards a successful submission.
