As part of Europa Woche 2025, the European University Alliance EMERGE will host a Human Library event at Europa-Universität Flensburg on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM in room HEL 066 of the Helsinki Building.

This interactive event invites members of the university community to engage in personal, face-to-face conversations with students who act as “living books.” Instead of borrowing a traditional book, participants will borrow time with a student who shares real-life experiences of internationalisation, cultural exchange, and resilience. These stories highlight the diversity of backgrounds within the EMERGE network and offer authentic insights into the challenges and hopes of young people navigating life across borders.

The Human Library will be held in both German and English, making it accessible to a broad audience. It is designed to foster intercultural dialogue, promote understanding, and create a space for meaningful reflection on shared human experiences.

The event is organised by the European University Alliance EMERGE as part of its ongoing commitment to inclusion, international cooperation, and student engagement.
