From 2 to 7 June 2025, IAE Bretagne Sud (Université de Bretagne Sud) hosted a vibrant International Week in Vannes, as part of a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) co-organised with EMERGE partner institutions. The initiative brought together students and academic staff from France, Spain, and Slovakia to explore how business innovation, cultural diversity, and regional development intersect in European higher education.
The programme welcomed students from the University of A Coruña and Matej Bel University—both members of the EMERGE European University Alliance—alongside their peers from IAE Bretagne Sud. Over the course of the week, participants engaged in collaborative learning activities designed to foster intercultural understanding, applied business knowledge, and real-world experience.
Key components of the programme included expert-led sessions on international financial systems and local entrepreneurship, including a presentation by the Banque de France and a visit to Socomore, an innovative aerospace company based in Brittany. Students also took part in an immersive business simulation and explored the rich cultural heritage of the region through informal events and city visits.
This BIP exemplifies EMERGE’s mission to empower regions and communities through inclusive, practice-oriented, and cross-border education. It reflects the alliance’s commitment to making international mobility and collaboration accessible to students from all backgrounds—particularly those from Europe’s geographic and social margins.
